CYBERCRIME INVESTIGATION UNIT KISHTWAR OF J&K POLICE RECOVERS ₹10,26,100 (TEN LAKH TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED) IN ONLINE FRAUD CASES

*Cybercrime Investigation Unit of J&K Police, under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Sh. Javaid Iqbal Mir-JKPS, and led by PSI Moin Khan, has successfully recovered ₹10,26,100 (Ten Lakh Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred) in various online fraud cases. This significant recovery highlights the unit’s proactive approach in tackling the growing menace of cybercrimes, including:

• Mobile recharge scams,
• Fraudulent app installations, and
• Deceptive Telegram links targeting Aadhaar updates.
• ⁠Online Digital Arrest

Since its establishment, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit Kishtwar has recovered a cumulative amount of ₹82,77,195 (Eighty-Two Lakh Seventy-Seven Thousand One Hundred Ninety-Five), reflecting its unwavering commitment to protecting the citizens of Kishtwar against cyber threats.
