DC reviews progress of work on NH144-A, other Roads in Poonch
POONCH, FEBRUARY 04: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal today chaired meeting here in the meeting hall of DC Office complex to review the pace of progress of NH144-A, Rajouri Thanamandi Surankote (RTS) and other roads being executed by BRO.
The meeting was attended by concerned BROs Officers collector land acquisition and Tehsildar Surankote. The meeting focused on the progress of Jammu- Poonch National Highway (NH144-A) -a critical project for regional connectivity & development. The progress on construction of Tunnel at Bhata Dhurian was thoroughly discussed.
It was informed that land acquisition and shifting of utilities has already been taken up on NH144-A. He directed the CLA Defence, Tehsildar, BRO Officers and other concerned to conduct a joint inspection for acquisition of land on RTS Road at Village Draba.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for timely disbursement of land compensation, directing the concerned agencies to remove the identified structures and bottlenecks to facilitate smooth execution of pivotal projects in the district.
Stressing the importance of timely project delivery, DC Vikas Kundal urged executing agencies to expedite their efforts for early completion.
The district administration remains committed to resolving challenges and supporting infrastructure development to boost connectivity and economic growth in the region.
