JAMMU POLICE IN JANIPUR AREA HELD THREE SNATCHERS, RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY WITH IN SIX HOURS

JANIPUR POLICE, JAMMU acting swiftly and proactively with persistent efforts has arrested three snatchers and recovered mobile phone and INR notes garland in two different incidents.

A complaint was received from Shobbit Mahajan, a shopkeeper near Logan park that a person came to his shop for fixing puncture and while he was busy in puncture work, the said person snatched his mobile phone and ran away .

On receiving information case FIR No. 14/2025 u/s 307 BNS was registered and Janipur police promptly apprehended within 3 hours the said snatcher Ritesh Kumar S/O Vashisht Tiwari R/O Bihar A/P Janipur, Jammu.
In another incident, Ashutosh Sudan, shopkeeper at Main stop Janipur reported that some unknown person taking benefit of electricity shut down period during the evening hours snatched notes garland worth Rs 4440/- INR.

In this regard police station Janipur registered case FIR No.15/2025 u/s 307 BNS and using human as well as technical intelligence apprehended accused 1.Tarun Momen s/o Rajesh 2.Ajay Sidu S/o Kewal both R/O Kotbhalwal Jammu. Police also recovered 04 snatched notes garlands from the said accused and lodged them behind bars.
With all three suspects in custody and key evidence secured, the investigation is progressing towards a watertight prosecution.
