Preamble reading, pledge ceremonies mark Constitution Day celebration across Jammu
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 26: The Constitution Day was celebrated across Jammu Division with national spirit amid enthusiastic participation of citizens, officials and youth.
The day was marked by reading of preamble and solemn pledge ceremonies with participants reaffirming their commitment towards principles of the Constitution.
At Ramban, The District Administration Ramban today observed Constitution Day with the ceremonial reading of the Preamble to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution and reaffirm the commitment to its principles.
The event began with the virtual administration of the oath by the Lieutenant Governor, which was attended by participants in online mode. At the district headquarters, the program was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak, led the pledge-taking ceremony at the Administrative Complex.
Similar pledge-taking ceremonies were organized across various departmental offices in Ramban, emphasizing the collective responsibility of all citizens to uphold and honor the ideals enshrined in the Constitution.
At Reasi, The District Administration Reasi marked Constitution Day 2024 with a solemn ceremony held at the Auditorium of DC complex in the presence of senior government functionaries.
The event commenced with a pledge-taking ceremony, reaffirming commitment to the core values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity as enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
The occasion highlighted the collective responsibility of citizens to uphold the rule of law and safeguard the rights and duties outlined in the Constitution.
At Doda, Constitution Day was observed with a solemn pledge ceremony at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex Doda. The event, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, witnessed active participation from officials of the District Administration, political leaders, and representatives of various government departments. The occasion highlighted the significance of the Constitution as the foundation of Indian democracy.
A key highlight of the event was the screening of a documentary showcasing the district's electoral journey, with a special focus on the recent General Elections to the Legislative Assembly (GELA) 2024.
At Rajouri, The District Administration Rajouri celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma.
The event witnessed the active participation of all district officers, who joined the Deputy Commissioner in taking the Constitution Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the principles enshrined in the Constitution.
Similar events were organized in all government offices across the district. Employees actively participated in these celebrations, reflecting their dedication to upholding constitutional values in their daily responsibilities.
At Udhampur, Constitution Day was celebrated at District Head Quarter Udhampur wherein a pledge taking ceremony was organized by District Administration at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur.
Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Umesh Shan and officers and officials of District Administration participated in the ceremony in which ‘Preamble of the Constitution' was read out with a motive to aware participants about the Constitution of India and its importance.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said that the day is celebrated to recall our role and responsibilities towards our country and to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of our country
Similarly, all the officers observed constitution day in their respective offices and also took pledge and read out Preamble of Constitution.
Directorate of Health Services Jammu, Constitution Day under the campaign “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan” was celebrated with enthusiasm by Health Department Jammu under the supervision of its Director Dr. Rakesh Magotra.
Dr. Rakesh Magotra led the preamble reading ceremony which was attended by all officers and officials of the Directorate and adjoining offices.
Constitution Day was also observed in health institutions of all Districts and Blocks of Jammu Division.
Directorate of Sheep Husbandry Jammu, A pledge taking ceremony was organized by Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu.
The Director Dr. Syed Moin-ul-Haq administered the Pledge to all officers/officials. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to “Hamamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan”.
Fire and Emergency Services, The Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters Gandhi Nagar Jammu and Batmaloo Srinagar celebrated the Constitution day with preamble reading and taking solemn pledge to uphold values of the Constitution.
RK Raina was chief guest at Jammu, while as Aqib Hussain took command at Srinagar preamble reading.
Similar Preamble reading ceremonies were held across the Jammu and Kashmir at Command level of Fire and Emergency Services Department wherein command officers read the preamble.
Directorate of Agriculture Jammu, The Directorate of Agriculture Jammu observed Samvidhan Diwas with enthusiastic participation of its officers in the campaign ‘Hamara Samvidhan-Hamara Swabhiman’ at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo. The event was led by Director Agriculture Jammu Arvinder Singh Reen along with Joint Director Agriculture (Extension/SLUB), Satish Sharma, besides sectoral heads, officers, and the staff was present. The staff took the Samvidhan Diwas Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values and principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women Mission Shakti, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti, marked Constitution Day with a pledge ceremony dedicated to the principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The event witnessed the active participation of staff and the incharge Warden Jagdeep Kaur of girls hostel GHSS.
GDC Marh, Government Degree College Marh celebrated the Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor under the guidance of the college Principal Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul.
The event commenced with a Preamble reading ceremony. All students, faculty, and staff gathered to pay tribute to the architects of India's Constitution.
The celebration culminated with a pledge-taking ceremony, where everyone vowed to uphold the principles of the Constitution and contribute to the nation's progress.
GDC Ramgarh, Government Degree College, Ramgarh celebrated Constitution Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event was organized by the Department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS unit “Prabha” of the college and under the supervision and guidance of the Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra
GCOE Jammu, The NSS Unit of Government College of Education celebrated National Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event featured an array of activities conducted across three venues: the college campus, Government Girls High School Gandhi Nagar, and Government Model Middle School Satwari.
The activities were designed to emphasize the significance of the Indian Constitution and included a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Right to Equality,” Reading of the Preamble, a Plantation Drive highlighting Fundamental Duties and a vibrant Cultural Program.
Principal of Government College of Education, Dr. Jyoti Parihar highlighted the importance of inculcating constitutional values among students.
Government PG College Rajouri, In a spirit of reverence and celebration, Government PG College Rajouri orchestrated a series of enlightening activities dedicated to the essence of the Indian Constitution. The commemorative event was organised through a collaborative effort between the Department of Political Science, the Shikshit Bharat Club, and the NSS unit of the college.
Doda Schools, Schools across the picturesque district Doda joined the nation in commemorating Constitution Day, a significant milestone in India's democratic journey.
A variety of activities were organized to instill a deeper understanding of the Constitution's principles and its role in shaping the nation.
The day was marked by a diverse range of activities, including-Pledge-Taking Ceremonies, Painting Competitions, Speeches and Cultural Programs.
