Director Agriculture Jammu reviews implementation of flagship schemes
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 26: Director Agriculture Jammu S. Arvinder Singh Reen on Tuesday chaired a review meeting today to assess the physical and financial progress, as well as the expenditure made under various schemes including CSS (Centrally Sponsored Schemes), CAPEX, HADP (Holistic Agriculture Development Programme), NABARD and RAVEX.
The meeting, held in the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension/SLUB) Satish Sharma; Deputy Director (Planning) Priyanka Parihar; Accounts Officer Vishnu Kant Sharma; besides sectoral heads of various schemes under the Agriculture Department. Chief Agriculture Officers from Jammu Division participated in the meeting through the virtual mode (V.C).
The Director Agriculture emphasised judicious and timely utilization of funds with proper documentation right from pre-execution (Planning) stage. He highlighted the importance of coordination among the Agriculture Department and allied departments to ensure the efficient and timely execution of developmental works under HADP.
The Director further directed the officers to submit the pending DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) at an earliest so that funds could be released accordingly. The aims, objectives, scope and nature of projects being implemented by the Departments were discussed in detail wherein, the Director insisted upon identification of eligible beneficiaries and rational allocation of targets for equitable development of all areas.
It was informed that most of the allocated funds have been successfully utilized till date, and the balance targets are expected to be met in a timely manner. The meeting concluded with a call for all officers to maintain a high level of efficiency and ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the intended beneficiaries.
