Jammu and Kashmir Police Arrested One Drug Peddlers with Poppy Straw in Manwal area of Sub Division Nagrota, District Jammu.

In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers, Jammu Police made a breakthrough on 12-11-2024, Police party of Police Post Manwal while on routine Naka checking duty at Nadal Naka.During Naka checking one Activa Scotty without Number plate was stopped for checking but he did not stopped and tried to fled away from the spot.Police party chased him and apprehended one person namely *Gagandeep Singh S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Village Siryalan Kalan, Distt. Hoshiyarpur Punjab and recoverd *11 Kg of Poppy Straw i.e Bhukki* from his possession and also seized the Activa scotty.

In this regard a case FIR No 247/2024 U/S 8/15/60 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, marking a step towards curbing the drug trade in the area.
