Jammu Police facilitate honesty and community trust, lost gold ring returned to owner following swift action

In a commendable act of honesty and prompt action, Sanjay Sharma s/o Hans Raj r/o Jhulaka Mohalla, Jammu, handed over a gold ring valued at approximately ₹1,50,000 to Pacca Danga Police Station on November 4, 2024, after finding it in Jain Bazar. Believing the ring had been lost by someone, he immediately reported it to the police.

Recognizing the importance of integrity, the Pacca Danga Police issued a public notice, urging anyone who had lost the ring to come forward. On November 6, 2024, the rightful owner, Shivang Kabra, son of Anil Kabra from Moti Bazar, Jammu, contacted the police. After thorough verification, the ring was promptly returned to Shivang, with the police commended for their transparency, diligence, and dedication to serving the community.

This incident highlights the role of Jammu Police in fostering public trust and ensuring justice, as well as the importance of collective responsibility within the community. Both the owner and local residents praised the police for their swift response and commitment to upholding values of honesty and integrity.
