Jammu Police Arrests a Notorious Criminal in Pounichak -Jammu, Seized Illegal Sharp Edged Weapon’

In a significant breakthrough, the police party of PP Pounichak apprehended a notorious criminal namely Pawandeep Singh @ Kaka S/O Anoop Singh R/O Swaran Colony Camp Gole Gujral Tehsil jammu west District, Jammu. The arrest took place in the SOS area of camp Gole Gujral, Tehsil Jammu West, District Jammu in the evening hours of 29/09/2024.
During the naka checking at SOS one motorcyclist was signalled to stop who was riding on his motor cycle bearing registration No. JK02 BJ 8352 from Bhagwati Nagar towards SOS. Upon seeing police party he acted suspiciously on which he was stopped and his checking was got conducted during which one sharp edge toka was recovered hide in his back. The seizure of the illegal weapon has raised concerns about his potential involvement in criminal activities in the region. Further enquiry also revealed that Pawandeep @ kaka is a habitual criminal against whom number of FIR’s stands registered at various Police Station includes Nowabad , Bus Stand and Domana etc.
Following the arrest, a formal case has been registered under FIR No. 238/2024 at Police Station Domana U/S 4/25 Arms Act. Investigations are actively underway to probe further into Kaka’s activities, associates, and any possible links to a larger network. The arrest and recovery was made by Police team of PP Pounichak , under the leadership of SHO Police Station Domana with vigilant oversight from the SDPO Domana, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural Jammu.
This arrest marks a crucial victory for Jammu police in curbing the circulation of illegal arms and ensuring the safety of the local community. The authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their area to aid in the ongoing crackdown on crime.
