* Navjot Singh Sidhu's post comes after two Congress leaders on Saturday were suspended for organising his rally in Moga.
* Despite complaints against Sidhu, the High Command on January 24 named him a member of the state election committee.

Chandigarh, Jan 29 Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday, in a cryptic post, took a jibe at his opponents in a social media post, saying that an attempt was being made to "weaken" him but asserted that neither him nor his hopes had fallen. In a post on X, Sidhu wrote, "Na main gira, nameriumeedoka koi minargira, par mujhegiranekikoshishmeinharsakshbaarbaargira (Neither did I fall, nor did any tower of my hopes fall, but everyone is trying to make me fall, fell again and again)." Congress leader Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on January 27 suspended two Congress leaders, including former MLA MaheshInderNihalsinghwala and his son Dharampal Singh, for organising Navjot Sidhu's rally in Moga. Navjot Sidhu's supporters have questioned the selective action as no action against the organisers of the Bathinda and Hoshiarpur rallies has been taken. The action against Sidhu's supporters comes amid growing criticism against the senior leader by certain Punjab Congress leaders for his alleged indiscipline. In a statement, a group of Congress leaders accused Sidhu of countering the party's collective efforts and letting down the workers by not being a team player. The Congress High Command hasn't taken any action on the complaints made by the Punjab.
