SAMBA POLICE NABBED DRUG PEDDLER WITH 5.7 GRAMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE

Samba, April 02, 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 5.7 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession.

Acting on an information received through reliable sources, a Police party headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana intercepted a car bearing registration No. JK19-0754 near Lane No. 15 Bari Brahmana for its checking. During checking, 5.7 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of driver of the said vehicle.

The drug peddler identified as Deepak Sharma S/o Ganesh Dass R/o Ambaran tehsil Akhnoor district Jammu has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.

A case FIR No 50/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
