In a bid to combat the scourge of drug abuse,today on 28.03.2025 a unique initiative of Antidrug Rally at New Agra Chak, R S Pura.
In the rally gathering of about 70/80 respected figures of the area, youth including Sportsmen as well as Children participated enthusiastically,SDPO RS Pura Sh. Gurmeet Singh-JKPS SDPO,Inspector Ravi @Singh Parihar SHO R S Pura, S I Rajinder Singh IC BPP AgraChak, ASI Ranbir Singh BPP Baspur and ASI Ashwani Kumar I/C BPP Badyal Brahmana and other respected citizens participated in the Rally.
The Rally begins at village New Agrachak and after passing through Village giving strong Antidrug message and culminated at Rahda Krishan Mandir.
Besides, *prominent senior citizens who never used drugs and alcohol in their life, were also honored by Special Antidrug Momentos from District Police Jammu in recognition of their non-use of drugs and Alcohol are Ex Sarpanch Rashpaul Choudhary,Ex Sarpanch Liyaqat Ali and Ram Parsad Sharma.The main motive of this is to projecting these Citizens as Role Models against Drug Abuse in the society .*
This ground breaking campaign aims to educate the public about the the dangers of drug abuse and at the same time honour the senior citizens for not using drug and alcohol in their entire life.
The initiative capitalises on ensuring the anti-drug message reaches a broad audience & stressed to steer clear of drugs and alcohol and maintain a drug-free lifestyle.
The campaign seeks to foster enduring awareness about the issue of drug abuse. It also serves as a constant reminder to the individuals, reinforcing the importance of staying away from illicit substances.
This innovative anti-drug awareness campaign reflects the Jammu Police’s commitment in tackling drug abuse and safeguarding the well-being of the community. Through collaborative efforts and innovative approaches, aim is to create a safer and drug-free environment for all residents.
This Antidrug Campaign launched by District Police Jammu under Civic Action Provramme(CAP) will continue in other parts of the District especially Drug hotspots.
