Janipur Police Station, Jammu Cracks Down on Narcotics: Accused Arrested and Contraband Seized

In a breakthrough, the Janipur Police Station, under the guidance of SDPO City West and SHO Janipur, has arrested an individual and seized a substantial quantity of heroin-like substance, weighing 7.25 grams.

The accused, identified as Yasir Mohd, son of Sharif Mohd, a resident of Upper Paloura Gujjar Mohalla Janipur Tehsil and District Jammu, was apprehended while attempting to escape on his Splendor motorcycle (JK02DE-1143) coming from Bantalab area.

SDPO City West and SHO Janipur have demonstrated exceptional leadership and coordination in this operation, showcasing their commitment to curbing narcotics and ensuring public safety in the region.

"This arrest is a testament to the effective synergy between our teams and our dedication to combating crime." In this regards case FIR no. 45/2025 u/s 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation is going on to find out the backward and forward linkages of the case.

The Janipur Police Station's swift action in apprehending of peddlers who are the night mare for the parents of vulnerable young children, has sent a strong message to potential criminals and reassured the community of the police's commitment to their safety.
