10 Litres of Illicit Liquor Seized in Ramnagar by District Police Udhampur
March 8, 2025.
District Police Udhampur, under the jurisdiction of PS Ramnagar, apprehended a man in possession of 10 litres of illicit liquor at Badakh Morh, Ramnagar.
During a routine patrolling and naka-checking duty, a police team from PS Ramnagar, noticed a suspicious individual carrying a polythene bag on his shoulder. The police team immediately intercepted the person and conducted a search.
Upon checking, the police recovered two gallons, each containing 5 litres of desi alcohol from his possession.
The accused was identified as, Bhag Singh, son of Chuni Lal, resident of Incha, Tehsil Ramnagar, and was arrested on the spot.
As he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the illegal liquor, a case was registered against him under FIR No. 26/2025 U/S 48(a) of the Excise Act at Police Station Ramnagar.
Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
