Today on 20.02.2025 Thana Diwas was successfully organized at Police Station Bishnah Jammu by SHO Police Station Bishnah bringing together prominent citizens, shopkeepers and representatives from key areas including Main Market Bishnah,Chak Avtara, Ratnal ,Kheri and Kothi Morh area. In-depth discussions were held to address the challenges faced by the community. Participants were encouraged to lend their full support to the police by providing timely, actionable information to ensure the smooth functioning of the police department and prevent any untoward incidents, especially in light of the upcoming festival season.
Key directives were also issued, including a strict instruction to all shopkeepers to refrain from allowing hawkers or vendors to sell goods in front of their shops, as this creates significant congestion for both the public and vehicles. Additionally, the participants were reminded to ensure that their CCTV cameras are functional, contributing to the safety and security of the area.
Furthermore, an essential part of the event was dedicated to raising awareness against the growing menace of drug abuse. The police emphasized the need for a united effort from all citizens to combat this serious issue, which threatens the health and well-being of our society, especially our youth. Shopkeepers, residents, and all attendees were urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking or substance abuse.
The participants were also encouraged to actively promote anti-drug campaigns within their communities, schools, and marketplaces, thereby creating a safer and healthier environment. The police department is committed to working closely with citizens to not only crack down on illegal drug activities but also to support rehabilitation initiatives and education programs that aim to reduce addiction.
