J&K Police Kathua while continuing its drive #War on Drugs putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace and in consequence J&K Police in Kathua district recovered/seized approx. 225.87 Grams of Heroin(Chitta) like narcotics at Chak Drab Khan area of P/S Kathua & one drug peddler was arrested in this connection.
2. Reports revealed that on 30.12.2024 a police team led by IC PP Nagri laid down a routine naka/patrolling at Chak Drab Khan area, and during naka checking they apprehended one suspect namely 1. Juma Din S/o Paau R/o Khanwal Marheen District Kathua who was found roaming under suspicious circumstances.
3. On Physical search, approximately 225.87 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession.
4. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics approx. 225.87 grams heroin was seized and one drug peddler was arrested on the spot.
5. On this ,a case FIR No. 407/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation is under process.
6. J&K Police Kathua seeks support from the local people of the area to share information about drug peddling by dialing 100 or 9858034100 and we assure that their identity will be kept confidential.
