DDC reviews preparations for Mega Event
DODA, DECEMBER 24: District Development Commissioner Doda (DDC) Harvinder Singh on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the New Year Vibrant Bhaderwah 2024-25- festival. The meeting was held in the Mini Meeting Hall, DC Office complex and attended by government functionaries representing the stakeholder departments, besides representatives from the Adventure Association, Hoteliers, Youth Committees, Tour, Travel and Trade Associations, civil Society members, Excursion Agents, BATA Association, and ABTA Association.
The New Year Vibrant Bhaderwah celebrations, being organized by the District Administration Doda in collaboration with the Tourism Department, will be a three-day (December 29 to December 31, 2024) event showcasing the scenic beauty and adventure potential of Bhaderwah Valley. The celebration will be held across prominent locations of Jai Valley, Guldanda, Bhaderwah Fort, and Bus Stand.
For adventure enthusiasts a variety of activities such as skiing, sledging, zorbing, cycling, zip-lining, hot air ballooning and rafting have been arranged at Guldanda. These activities are designed to attract thrill-seekers and promote Bhaderwah as an adventure tourism destination.
The event will culminate at the Bus Stand Bhaderwah with a grand cultural show featuring performances by local artists and a celebrity performance. Departmental stalls and cuisine stalls will also be set up to offer visitors a taste of local flavors and crafts.
The DDC Doda emphasized the importance of teamwork and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the event's success and also invites everyone to participate in this vibrant celebration and ring in the New Year with joy and excitement amidst the picturesque landscapes of Bhaderwah.
