Jammu Police Pays Rich Tribute to Martyr Greywal Singh at His Memorial in a Function Organized by the Family Members of Martyr in Mishriwala Area of Kanachak.

In a solemn ceremony held at the memorial of Martyr Constable Greywal Singh in the Mishriwala area of Kanachak, the Jammu Police, led by *SSP Jammu, Sh. Joginder Singh, JKPS,* paid heartfelt tributes to the braveheart who made the supreme sacrifice on 18th December 2003 during a terrorist attack on the DIG RP Range Office in Rajouri.

The event, organized by the family members of martyrs, witnessed the presence of senior police officers, including *SP Rural Jammu, SDPO Domana, DySP DAR Jammu, and the SHOs of Police Stations Kanachak and Domana,* alongside over 200-250 prominent citizens of the area.

While addressing the gathering, SSP Jammu commemorated the unparalleled courage and dedication of Martyr Greywal Singh, whose sacrifice earned him *the prestigious Police Medal for Gallantry.* He emphasized that his bravery and selflessness will forever serve as a beacon of inspiration for generations.

In an emotional interaction with the martyr’s family, the SSP expressed his deep gratitude for their sacrifices and reassured them of the department’s unwavering commitment to their welfare. He remarked, *“The family of a martyr is an integral part of the Police Parivar, and we are dedicated to ensuring their well-being.”* During the discussion, the family requested that a local school be named in honor of Martyr Greywal Singh. The SSP assured them that the matter is already under process and would be expedited as a priority.

As a mark of respect,*a ceremonial Shok Shastra (Armed Salute) was presented by a ceremonial guard, followed by the offering of floral tributes by police officers,* dignitaries, and civilians at the martyr’s memorial. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Jammu highlighted the invaluable contributions of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, who make daily sacrifices to ensure peace and security in the region.

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt acknowledgments of Martyr Greywal Singh’s courage and supreme sacrifice, serving as a poignant reminder of the resilience, dedication, and selflessness of the Jammu and Kashmir Police in their mission to protect the nation.
