Theft Case Solved:Accused arrested, Stolen Items worth 10 Lakhs recovered by Peer Mitha Police Station,Jammu

On 06-11-2024, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Peer Mitha by a complainant nemely Vinay Handa S/o Ravi Nand Handa R/o H.No. BC 272 Jogi Gate Shahidi Chowk, Jammu regarding a theft incident in a dwelling house within the jurisdiction.

Upon receiving the complaint, an FIR No. 62/2024 was registered under sections 331(4) and 305(a) of the BNS at Police Station Peer Mitha, and an investigation was initiated without delay.

To expedite the investigation, a dedicated team was constituted under the close supervision of SDPO City North, Jammu. The team, led by SHO Police Station Peer Mitha and assisted by other officers, worked diligently under the guidance of SP City North, Jammu.

Through relentless efforts and meticulous investigation, the police team successfully apprehended the accused namely Mohd Yaseen S/o Mohd Yousaf R/o Sana Bati Tehsil Ukbral District Ramban involved in the theft. Upon the accused’s disclosure, the following stolen items were recovered:

1. Mobile Phones - 03 no.
2. Wrist Watches - 06 no.
3. Gold and Diamond Jewellery Items. Bangles 21 Nos, Ring 08 Nos, ear rings 06 pairs and one single piece, chain 05 Nos, bracelet 01, Anklets 02 pairs
4. ⁠cash 4000 Hundred
5. ⁠I-pod Philips
6. ⁠Acer Tab 01 nos,
7. ⁠Silver coin 03 no.
8. Bracelet 01
The swift action and concerted efforts by the team resulted in the quick resolution of the case, showcasing the commitment of Jammu Police towards ensuring the safety and security of the public. The accused is currently in police custody, and further investigation is ongoing.
