Face to Face with Haq Khan /Providing the benefits of all schemes to people is my priority: Haq Khan

To ensure that all the developmental schemes are executed efficiently and the benefits of the same reach to the common masses is my prime duty.
This was stated by the Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq khan, during his interaction with the Young Bites.

VG: UMEED scheme has been launched by the government, what is special in this scheme?
HK: Yes, it is true that the government has launched UMEED scheme, this is really a very good scheme for the people and in this regard, I have directed the concerned officials to ensure that all the developmental schemes are executed efficiently so that benefits of the same reach to the common masses, an official spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, to ensure proper monitoring and execution of UMEED scheme and its components at block and district levels, so that the tangible results should be visible on the ground. We are trying our best.
VG: What is the progress under this scheme?
HK: We are trying our best to provide more and more benefits to the people under this scheme, till date there are 11,501 Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the Kashmir Division having 1,05,000 members who are generating income through these groups. These groups have their own savings of Rs 14 crore, while as capitalization through the department is Rs 39.09 crore and Bank linkage is Rs 24.23 crore. There are 206 Automatic Milk Collection Centers (AMCC) in the Kashmir province, while as milk production stands at 11600 litres per day in the province.
VG: What are the other schemes, which have been launched by your department, in Lolab area?
HK: There are many schemes which have been launched by our department in Lolab area, which includes developmental projects like road connectivity, ongoing construction in Govt Degree College Boys Sogam, Harvesting Water Tanks, New Building at SDH Sogam and Lalpora.
In addition to these works, I have directed the officials to expedite the work so that it can be completed before the onset of winter in the valley. I wanted to assure the people that all the areas of the state would be provide all basic facilities at their door steps.
The Government is committed to development of rural and far flung areas. To meet the goal, several schemes and programs have already been undertaken under R&B, PDD, PHE, Health, RDD and other sectors.
