Indian Army Organised Pir Panjal Volleyball League for Boys at Rajouri

YB NEWS SERVICE Rajouri,Mar 03 Indian Army conducted Pir Panjal Volleyball League for boys of Budhal-Kandi area in district Rajouri. Aim of this event was to involve boys of various villages of Rajouri District and motivate them to pursue healthy lifestyle. This event was a landmark step in empowering resident young boys to build a career in sports. Pir Panjal Volleyball League for boys started on 27 Feb 2024 and was organized for three days at Samote and witnessed participation of 14 teams of boys from Kandi-Budhal areas. All participating teams displayed great enthusiasm & sportsmanship during the volleyball tournament. The volleyball tournament has always been a crowd puller, where villagers cheered for their respective players. The final match of Pir Panjal Volleyball League for boys was played between Kandi Worriors Vs 7 Star Samote. After a nail biting finish, 7 Star Samote team won the tournament. At the end of the competition, the players of winner and runner up team were felicitated. The event was a huge success and a total number of 348 (including 200 locals, 148 students/ participants) witnessed the said event. Such positive engagement weans away curious young minds from getting involved in issues related to drug abuse, unlawful activities and channelizes the energy of the youth in a positive direction, boosts competitive skills and resists them from falling into the traps of anti-national and anti-social elements. Youth and residents of areas expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude towards Army for conducting Pir Panjal Volleyball League for boys at Samote & taking this noble initiative towards effective youth engagement.
