Accused arrested in ATM fraud case

Srinagar, Nov 20 Ganderbal Police solved an ATM fraud case by arresting an accused involved in the commission of crime and recovering stolen cash from his possession. As per official sources, on November 16 this year, Police Station Ganderbal received a written complaint from a tourist, a resident of Banglore namely Nasreen-ul- Nissa, wife of Khaleel Beigh stating therein that she had misplaced her ATM card and an unknown person has illegally withdrawn Rs 70,000 from her account by using her lost ATM card. Accordingly, a case FIR Number 318/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was initiated. A special team headed by SHO Police Station Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Gh Hassan was constituted. He has been identified as Danish Rashid Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, a resident of Darhuma Tangmarg. Illegally withdrawn cash amounting Rs 70000 has been recovered from his possession.
