India, Indonesia share econo-cultural ties for centuries: Ambassador Bharti

Bali, Nov 14 Manoj Kumar Bharti is the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia since January 15, 2021. He is 1988 batch of IFS. He did his schooling at Netarhat Residential School in Jharkhand. He is B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. On the sidelines of the G20 Summit at Bali, Vijay Gupta, Editor-in-Chief Young Bites Newspaper had an interaction with Manoj Kumar Bharti, Indian Ambassador to Indonesia. They discussed various aspects of India-In-donesia relations and future of their ties for the economic development of both the nations. Here are the excerpts of the interview:- Young Bites: Indonesia is conducting the prestigious G20 summit for the first time, what do you think will be beneficial for India in this summit? Ambassador: There are various issues of importance for India which will be discussed in this summit. It will be beneficial for India in coming times as India is looking to expand economic ties with East Asia. The economic relations are expanding with each passing year. Young Bites: What kind of relationship, India and Indonesia share? Ambassador: Well India and Indonesia share a very cordial and loving relationship from centuries ago. Both the countries have social, economic and cultural ties from ancient times and both the countries have very strong people to people contact. This needs to be further expanded for the benefit of both the nations. Young Bites: What is the position of Indians living in Indonesia? Ambassador: The Indians living in Indonesia share a very good position and status. Most of the CEOs and CMDs of multinational companies are Indians. People of Indian origin are seen with much respect. Indonesia has always welcomed the people of India and in the economic and social sphere, the relations are being strengthened. Young Bites: Indonesia is conducting a G20 meeting for the first time. Next year India will be conducting the G-20 Summit, what is your view on India handling the summit next year? Ambassador: India is a country which is famous for its hospitality and protocol. India will be able to conduct the G20 summit very efficiently. The whole world will praise India. As In India's economy is expanding at a rapid pace, the whole world is looking towards the country.
