‘RAPICON - 2022’ Two days seminar organized at Railway officers Club

New Delhi, Sept 25 National Conference of Railway chapter of Association of Physicians India commenced at New Delhi under the aegis of IRHSA. DG RHS, Railway Board, Dr Prasanna Kumar and Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway inau gurated the function in evening of Sept 24 in SE Road Railway officers, Club along with Dr Sugandha Raha PCMD, NR, Dr Amita Jain MD NRCH, Dr Sanjay Joshi Organising Secretary RAPICON, Dr B K Singh Secretary General IRHSA and other dignitaries. Dr Atul Gupta organized the scientific session after lamp lighting and saraswati vandana. The Conference was attended by more than 150 delegates from all over India including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Odisha and Bihar. The recent development in the field of medicine was discussed and the knowledge was shared for better patientcare in view of rapidly coming technologies in the field of medicine. The various topics related to Heart diseases, kidney diseases, Liver diseases, Respiratory diseases and Covid were presented for the upgradation of knowledge of Railway Physicians. The RAPICON was organized after a hiatus of 15 years in Delhi. In the year 2020-2021 it could not be organized due to covid related restrictions. DG, RHS, Railway Board and GM, Northern Railway appreciated the work of Railway doctors during Covid pandemic. The Railway Hospitals provided the Indoor, outdoor and ICU care to the patients during the pandemic without caring for their own life and comfort. It was followed by Indian Railway Health Services Association meeting under the President Dr Sugandha Raha and Secretary General Dr BK Singh/ Senior Physician. It was decided to hold such medical conferences round the year with various specialties to keep our doctors updated with recent development in medical field. Later on it was followed by GBM of RAPICON and new secretary Dr Sushma Matey was elected unanimously. Also the venue of next RAPICON was decided to be Chennai. Dr Savita Gangurde, Ex Secretary RAPI was given thanks for carrying on the RAPI for the last 15 years. The scientific session was followed by a cultural evening by our talented doctors .Also the PCMDs of various zones participated in the cultural fest enthusiastically. The 2 days scientific fest ended on 25th September after lunch.
