Dhoni told me not to take any kind of pressure: Joginder Sharma on 2007 T20 WC

New Delhi, Sept 25 Joginder Sharma opened up on the infamous last over in the 2007 T20 World Cup final against Pakistan and said that MS Dhoni asked him not to take any pressure. Dhoni reassured the pacer that he would take responsibility for the loss. 24th September marks the 15th anniversary of India's triumph in South Africa to become the inaugural T20 World Champions. One of the key moments in the match saw Dhoni hand the ball to Sharma against an in-form Misbah-ul-Haq. Despite conceding a six, the pacer was able to dismiss the batter and hand the trophy to India. Speaking on Gujarat Giants' social media account, as quoted by an agency, Sharma opened up on the discussions ahead of the final over and said that it wasn't about bowling strategy.
