UP minister Rakesh Sachan found guilty in Arms Act, leaves court before verdict

Kanpur, Aug 7 A Kanpur court, on Saturday, found Rakesh Sachan, MSME Minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, guilty in the 1991 Arms Act case on Saturday. Unhappy with the decision, the lawyers and supporters of Rakesh Sachan allegedly left the courtroom after he was found guilty. However, the minister denied the allegation and called it a rumour. Minister Rakesh Sachan said, “Some cases are pending, the things that are going on are misleading”. He added that the court's decision will be accepted. The court filed a complaint against Rakesh Sachan in the Kotawli police station late night. The court in its complaint has asked Kanpur police to register a case in this matter. Joint Commissioner of Kanpur Police Anand Prakash Tiwari, after receiving the complaint, started an investigation into this matter. He said, “All the statements of related people will be recorded, CCTV footage will be checked and then further action will be taken”. He added, “The facts of the complaint will also be examined. The investigation is expected to be completed in a day or two. Further action will be taken accordingly”.
