Northern Command Children Summer Adventure Camp begins at Dalhousie

YB News Jammu,June 20 The spirit of adventure and panache for the outdoor life and activities has been related with the Armed Forces since times immemorial. Keeping to the rich traditions of an unrelenting and die-hard adventure spirit, Northern Command Children Summer Adventure Camp 2022 was inaugurated by Brig MS Bains, Dy GOC, Dah Division at Balun Ground with zeal on 20 Jun 2022. Keeping the theme Play, Fun, Learn and Create the lamp was lit by Mrs Baani Bains which was followed by unfurling of Adventure Camp flag and release of balloons by the campers. The team building with forming of groups and demonstration of tent pitching was conducted to give children a feel of a camper’s life followed by some first aid and life saving drills which can be helpful in saving one’s life. The camp is being conducted at Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh. The camp is aimed at inculcating adventure, team spirit, self-reliance and honing survival and social skills of the children. The participation sported more than 70 children who are wards of Armed Forces personnel of Northern Command and other Commands and formations of the Indian Army. At the end the much awaited camp which was scheduled.
