France's Eve Perisset becomes Chelsea's first signing under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital's era

New Delhi, June 8 Chelsea made their first signing under the BoehlyClearlake-led new ownership, bringing French defender Eve Perisset from Bordeaux to their women's team on Wednesday. Perisset will join Chelsea on July 1 after signing a three-year deal. The team is preparing to defend their Women's Super League title in 2022-23. Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital's consortium completed the formalities to takeover the Premier League club last month from Roman Abramovich, who put Chelsea up for sale in March after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "The time was right for me to make this big move to London and join the English Super League," said Perisset, who has become the first French female player to play for Chelsea. Perisset, who has 34 caps for France and has been named for the upcoming Euro, started her career with Olympique Lyonnais. She won the league and French Cup four times, besides winning the 2016 Champions League
