Army interacts with Gujjar and Bakarwal

YB News Poonch,May 13 The migratory Gujjar and Bakarwal community of Jammu and Kashmir continue to lead a harsh life owing to the remoteness of the areas they reside in and transit through. Indian Army has been periodically interacting with this community to address their grievances and render assistance in terms of health, education, provisioning of basic amenities etc. Towards this end, an educative lecture on various Government welfare schemes and policies was conducted at Marhot, Poonch (J&K). The interactive lecture ensured wholehearted participation from the gathering, who were also able to share their views on various other aspects affecting their daily lives. The audience conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Army for the support and help extended to the community whenever the need arose for the same.
