Commissioner, JMC conducts tour of Bhagwati Nagar dumping site

She observed on ground scenario of dumping of waste

Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Ms. Avny Lavasa (IAS) conducted the tour of dumping site at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu accompanied by Chief Transport Officer, Zone-III and Transport Officer. She observed on ground scenario of dumping of waste and issued on spot directions to the concerned for proper and scientifically dumping of waste at site and added that waste should not be littered everywhere even road leading to the dumping site should be properly cleaned and waste should be lifted well in time.
She further directed the concerned for installation of dustbins wherever required so that people can put waste in the dustbins which will held to avoid littering of waste on roads and added that if there is any requirement of repair of machinery involved in dumping of waste at site should be brought into her knowledge so that can be no problem in executing the job. She stated that providing sanitation to the citizens is mandate of Jammu Municipal Corporation and that should be fulfilled in any manner for which every official/officer has to put their efforts for providing basic amenity to the citizens of the city.
