Army organises Inter Village Kabbadi Competition

YB News Rajouri,Jan 20 Kabbadi being a popular sport of the region, elicits great enthusiasm amongst the Awaam populace. In keeping with the popularity of the Sport and to increase people to people contact, Indian Army organised an ‘Inter Village Kabbadi Competition’,where teams from the villages of Kalal, Siyal, Lamberi, Potha Katera, Dabbar Potha, Gagrote and Bareri participated. All teams displayed great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit while competing amongst each other. Spectators who attended the event too encouraged their respective teams with passion and gusto, thereby creating a friendly and cheerful atmosphere. on culmination of the event, a prize distribution ceremony was held in which prizes and certificates were awarded under various categories. Participation in games and sports not only aids in physical fitness but remains an essential component for building character of a person. Towards this end, the event conducted by Indian Army ensured that the youth are motivated to contribute positively towards the future of the region and remain a progressive component of the national mainstream.
