Bootlegger nabbed with 36 bottles of illicit liquor

Samba, Jan 20 Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr.Abhishek Mahajan-IPS, today District Police Samba has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 36 bottles (750 ml each) of illicit liquor from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana. A Police Party of PS Bari-Brahmana during checking at Naka Balole Bridge, Bari-Brahmana, intercepted a person and recovered 36 bottles of Old Adventure Rum (750 ml each)from his possession. On questioning, the accused disclosed his identity as Simran Jeet Singh S/O Harjeet Singh R/O Gadpura,Tral Distt. Pulwama A/P Kanal, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu. The said accused has been arrested and a case FIR No. 11/2022 U/S 48(a) Excise Act got registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana.
