DC Kupwara appeals people for vaccination, implementation of CAB

YB News Kupwara, Jan 19 The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today said that vaccination and Covid appropriate behavior (CAB) are the only tools to safeguard against the Covid pandemic disease. He was addressing a press conference about the covid mitigation efforts in his office chamber here, today. The DC said that there are currently 764 active positive cases of Covid- 19 in the district with 1.55 percent positivity rate. Besides, the district has recorded 14971 recovered cases constituting 94.12 percent recovery rate adding that 171 deaths have also occurred since the inception of Covid-19 corresponding to 1.07 percent fatality rate. The DC appealed to the youth of the 15-17 year age group to come forward and get themselves vaccinated against the Covid. He also appealed to the adults to get booster doses for additional safety against the pandemic.
