“TOURISM SPOTS WORTH VISITING CHENAB VALLEY”

Jammu, Jan 19 Kuldeep Kumar Rao, a Core Committee Member of AAP-J&K, Jammu Province, in a press statement issued here said that Jai, Padri, Chattergalla, Nalthi-Basti, Sarthal, Chinta Valley, Jantron Dhar, Bhal Padri, Lal Draman, & Machail, Barnaz valley in Sub-Division Paddar have vast potential to attract films & tourism pilgrimage . Rao said & demanded that the list prepared by the government in connection with Film policy announced recently to include some spots for tourism pilgrimage must include the above noted spots of, Bhadarwah, Sub-Division Thathri, Sub-Division Gandoh & Sub- Division Paddar of Chenab Valley in the larger interest of poor people of the area, for their all round development. . Rao has expressed great dismay & sadness over the functioning of administration under Lt. Governor as there appears no accountability on the Bureaucracy as none seems serious and responsible in Tourism as by the end of November, 2021 hardly 13% of the allocation seems incurred by the Department to the great wonder & displeasure of the areas which yearn attention and development in the field of Tourism. . Rao said that whole Chenab Valley is having abundant mesmerizing attractive tourist spots which can go a long way in the development of the areas and boosting the economy of the poor people. Spending of hardly 4 crores out of an outlay of 30 Crores up to November, 2021, is in itself a self speaking statement that present dispensation believes in advertisements only & thus commonly known as “JUMLA” development, the release maintained. Rao further said that the Sub-Division of Paddar alone is attracting lakhs of pilgrims in summer season every year during nationwide famous Machail Yatra in District Kishtwar. Besides, there are many places with lush green meadows, waterfalls, snow clad hillocks and beautiful pastures which can attract lakhs of tourists for pilgrimage tourism. Meanwhile, most attractive spots of Sub-Division Thathri like JANTRON DHAR, Lamhote Dhar, Mata Reshwari Temple, (Lambi Jai hardly 9 kms from Joura Kalan Panchyat of Kahara Tehsil, Sub-Division Thathri) need special attention as these spots, can attract several thousand tourists every year to give a fillip to the tourism in the area if exploited fully, the release remarked & demanded that many more tourist Development Authorities need be sanctioned at Gulab Garh Paddar, as also Sub-Division Thathri and other attractive places to be identified in consultation with the local representatives of Districts Ramban, Doda & Kishtwar.
