Army organises media interaction

YBNews Kishtwar,Jan 18 Indian Army has been actively involved in contributing towards normalcy and maint of Peace and Stability in J&K. This is being done through various social welfare initiatives to develop an alternate self sustained way of life with primary focus on youth and women. Indian Army organised a visit of Media Personnel in Kishtwar to showcase the progress made in this direction on 15 January 2022. The event started with brief orientation at Helipad, Kishtwar. The attendees were briefed about the various vocational courses conducted for youth and ladies of Kishtwar district. Saffron Development Officer, Mr Amjed Hussain Malik and Social Welfare Officer, Mr Tariq Parveaz Qaziwere also present during the event. The media personnel interacted with the beneficiaries of Saffron Farming, Carpenter Course and Pre Recruitment Trainees. Subsequently, the media team proceeded to Bhandarkut where they interacted with Sheetal Devi, a special child from Mughal Maidan tehshil. Lastly, Journalists went to Saranwa and interacted with beneficiaries of Mushroom Farming and Tailoring and Stitching Course. The aim of this event was to highlight the participative outlook of the locals towards financial independence, normalcy and ultimately towards nation building. Total 19 media persons from national and vernacular media attended the event. The beneficiaries brought out that how these initiatives of assisted them to be on the right path in life. The event was highly appreciated by the locals, which was evident from the overwhelming response. The local population expressed their gratitude towards Indian Army for their efforts.
