Army provides assistance to villagers of Dhar Sakri

YB News Rajouri,Jan 18 Indian Army has always remained stead fast in its commitment towards the upliftment of the remote and far flung areas of J&K. The extent and reach of the Indian Army while providing assistance to the Awaam of J&K covers a large canvas. Towards this end, Indian Army stationed at Samote provided six water tanks of 2000L capacity each and educational kits for students at the remote Village of Dhar Sakri in District Rajouri. The Village had been facing difficulty in shortage of water for which the water tanks would provide a much required relief. Further, in keeping with the resolve of the Army to provide better educational facilities to students of the region and motivating them to continue on the path of educational excellence, kits including books and stationery were distributed to poor and needy students of Dhar Sakri. The Village Elders, Sarpanchs, Students and other prominent members of the community expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army in provisioning of basic amenities which would make their lives and the future of their children better. This initiative of the Indian Army would go a long way in strengthening its bonds with the Village populace, while at the same time assist Villagers of Dhar Sakri.
