YB News Jammu,Jan 18 Jammu kashmir Unity Foundation and Team Jammu has raised the pitch for installation of Full Body scanners at vital points on Jammu-Srinagar National highway and Jammu-Poonch Highway to put a strong check on the narco-terrorism activitied aided and abetted by Pakistan. The startling data of 6,00,000 (Six lakh) drug abuse victims in Jammu and Kashmir and seizure of 100s of crores of worth drugs substance in the recent past necessitated the demand for stringent measures against narco-terrrorism promoted from acrtoss the measures. In a webinar organized here today by JK Unity Foundation( Association SEED) on the topic Drug menace in Jammu and Kashmire; Role and Responsibility of Civil Society, Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that narco-terrorism is a major cause of concern not only for the Government but the common citizens of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Six Lakh drug abuse victims comprise almost 4 percent of the population and the more disturbing is that almostall the victims are in the age group of 20 to 35 years. Zorawar Jamwal said that Team Jammu has been raising the awareness about drug abuse since last 7 years effective.
