YB News Aknoor,Jan 09 The Indian Army conducted Artificial Limb Measurement Camp at Lam in District Rajouri (J&K). This camp was a precursor to the Republic Day celebrations planned to be held with locals. The camp conducted for specially abled people of border villages of Rajouri district was held in collaboration with a Delhi based NGO, Kiwani Group. The camp facilitated preparations for meeting specific limb requirements of 25 specially abled locals who over the years have lost their limbs to cease fire violations, terrorist actions, mine blasts amongst other unfortunate incidents. A team of doctors first examined the patient and thereafter took measurements for the required artificial limb or prosthesis, being provided free of cost to them subsequently.
