Literacy innovation for BPL students in Kalakote

Rajouri, Nov 30 Education is an imperative requirement for growth of any society. Indian Army perceived this requirement of students and came out with a project for conduct of tuition classes for Below Poverty Line (BPL) students. The aim of the project is to uplift the standard of education and to provide facilities in the remote areas of Kalakot. The peoples of this area are highly motivated to join Armed Forces and to serve the nation. Tuition classes for BPL students have started at Military Education Node, Kalakot in District Rajouri (J&K) from 29 Nov 2021 to 29 Jan 2022. The classes are being conducted for the students of class 10th so as to bridge capability gap in academic learning due to the COVID-19 lockdown and prepare them for the future Higher Secondary Examination. A total of 20 students (15 girls and 05 boys) from nearby villages joined the coaching classes. The syllabus books of English, Math, Science, Social Science. Stationary items also provided to students. The focus of conducting tuition classes is to provide free education to BPL students so that they perform up to their caliber in State Board Higher Secondary Examination. The families and public of village Kalakot conveyed their gratitude for conduct of tuition classes for BPL students. Such positive engagement also establishes the faith of youth in the system of the country and encourages them to contribute in national development.
