Army organises Doda Cricket League at sports stadium

Doda, Nov 30 Indian Army organised Doda Cricket League at Sports Stadium Doda from 19 Nov 21 to 29 Nov 21.The final match was played between Green Shaheen Doda Team and Sazan Team at Sports Stadium Doda. The match was contested with zeal and vigor not only by the players but also by the cheering crowd. Team Sazan emerged as winners. Total 32 teams from Dessa and Ghat bowls and approximately 200 villagers were present for the event. The event was aimed at promoting sports amongst youth from remote villages of the area to positively engage them. Sports also foster a healthy spirit of competition, discipline and will to excel amongst youth driving them to work hard. Cricket also binds students irrespective of caste, colour, creed and religion, thus promoting social and communal harmony. The people of the area wholeheartedly appreciated the support provided by the Indian Army to encourage the sports activities amongst youth in Doda.
