MEDICAL AND VETERINARY CAMP ORGANISED BY ARMY

Rajouri, Nov 30 Indian Army organised a medical and veterinary camp for the village populace and their livestock in remote area of Rajouri (J&K). In remote area challenge are further aggravated due to the limited road connectivity, requiring villagers to commute long distances to avail basic medical and veterinary facilities. This medical and veterinary camp was a joint effort by the Indian Army medical team, along with a medical team from Rajouri community health centre, Civil Health Department. Medicines were provided to the patients during the medical camp. Gynecologist doctor Nisha Chadgal, Pediatrician doctor Mohammed Abays, examined and provide healing touch to the old aged patients. Veterinary doctor Imtaz, animal husbandry, Rajouri provided requisite consultation, vaccination and medicines for the livestock. A total strength of 350 villagers and 60 animals from the village and other far flung adjoining areas visited to avail medical and veterinary treatment provided during the camp. The genuine efforts taken up by the Indian Army to organise the medical and veterinary camp were appreciated by the villagers. Such an endeavour by the Indian Army to reach out to the residents of remote areas will go a long way in developing and strengthening of trust between JAWAN and AWAM.
