NCC PAYS TRIBUTES TO GUNNER CHHAJU RAM AT GANDHINAGAR

Jammu, Nov 30 As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Vijay Shrankhala, a felicitation ceremony was organised at Gandhinagar, Jammu on 30 Nov 2021 at 1100 hrs, under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Jammu (NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh) by 2 J&K Battalion NCC to honour the next of kin of our brave soldier Gnr Chhaju Ram who made the ultimate sacrifice on 06 Dec 1971 fighting the enemies of the nation. The programme was attended by Col P K Sinha, Col Sanjay Apte, JCOs, NCOs and NCC cadets of 2 J&K Battalion NCC, Jammu. The next of kin of the braveheart Shri Satpal Sharma and Shri Vijay Kumar Sharma, brothers of the Martyr, were felicitated during the function. The programme included presenting of floral bouquets, patriotic song and poetry by cadets. The “Gaurav Gatha” of the braveheart was read out and the NoKs were presented with shawl and sweets, followed by presentation of mementos.
