Medical camp conducted by Indian army

Akhnoor, Nov 29 Understanding the needs of village populace in and around the border village of Rajwal in Pallanwala Sector, Akhnoor, Indian Army organised a Medical Camp. Provisioning of medical assistance proved to be of immense benefit for the villagers, who turned up in large numbers to avail the services. In addition to the medical check-up, free medicines were provided to the villagers including elderly and children. The Bakarwals who have migrated to the region from far reaches of Kashmir Valley were also present in large numbers to benefit from this initiative of the Indian Army. The team of Indian Army and support staff worked tirelessly to attend to each patient with due diligence and civility, which won the hearts and minds of the villagers. Keeping the COVID-19 protocols in mind, masks were also distributed to villagers as safeguard measures and to sensitize them for keeping themselves safe from the pandemic. Indian Army remains committed towards its resolve of ‘Service before Self’, undertaking development projects and ensuring well-being of villagers in the border areas. Conduct of the Indian Army village proved to be of immense benefit where 431 villagers were provided medical support. The initiative was greatly appreciated by the village population.
