Army organizes awareness drive on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Poonch, Nov 29 A cleanliness awareness drive “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, aimed towards conducting in remote areas of Thapla Mohalla in District Poonch (J&K). The drive was structured by the Indian Army on the national theme of “Swachh Bharat”. The points included policies of Govt required to be implemented and restructured with comprehensive rural sanitation programme. The school children were educated on the importance of keeping the surrounding areas clean and to follow good civic habits. A signature campaign was also launched where attendees signed a pledge to keep the surroundings clean. During open interaction, the people opined that such events would definitely transform the perception of people. Surroundings will also become hygienic and inspiring for others to be emulated. The drive was well boosted and absorbed by the participants as visible from the exuberance displayed.
