Commemoration of Swarnim Vijay Varsh at GDC

Bhaderwah, Oct 15 To mark India’s 50th year of victory in 1971 Indo-Pak War and as a tribute to martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in Indo-Pak War, Indian Army is comm e m o r a t i n g “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” from 16 December 2020 to 16 Dec 2021. On 12 Oct 21, Army conducted various activities on the occasion of “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” at Govt Degree College, Bhaderwah in District Doda (J&K). The event commenced with a lecture on achievement of Indian Army in 1971 Indo-Pak War and a presentation on battles fought by Indian Army in 1971 War. Family members of martyred soldiers also graced the occasion. A large number of Ex-servicemen from the area, representatives of civil administration and media personnel were present to commemorate the event. A total of 50 persons including faculty, students and media persons were present on the occasion. People expressed their unflinching faith in Indian Army which has always stood firm and committed to safeguard the Nation against all odds.
