Mumbai, Oct 15 Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan, who is currently lodged at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail, spoke with his parents via video conference on Friday. Due to Covid-19 protocols, every prisoner in the jail is allowed to speak to his/her family through video call twice a week. According to sources, Aryan Khan was provided a mobile phone by jail authorities from which the video call was made. Aryan and his parents, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, spoke in detail about what has been happening in the prison where he is lodged. Aryan Khan, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the highprofile raids on a Mumbai cruise ship, has been staying in the jail for a week now. After Thursday's hearing on his bail plea, the Mumbai sessions court issued an order saying that Aryan will have to stay in jail at least till October 20. The NCB, probing the Mumbai cruise drug bust case, accused Aryan Khan of consuming and procuring drugs. The probe agency alleged that the 23-yearold star kid was a regular consumer of drugs. However, Aryan Khan's lawyer maintained that no drugs were found with his client during the raids at the cruise. Aryan Khan was arrested after the NCB conducted a raid on the Cordelia Cruises' Empress ship off the coast of Mumbai on October 2. A rave party was allegedly taking place on the ship and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son was on board. No drugs were found on him, as per an NCB official. NCB sleuths said they seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash during the raid. So far, the NCB has arrested 20 people in the Mumbai cruise drugs case. After continuing to hear arguments on the bail plea filed by Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan in the Mumbai cruise drugs case on Thursday, Judge V V Patil of a special court in Mumbai reserved his order on the same. As a result, Aryan Khan will have to stay in jail at least till October 20. This is because both the high court and the sessions court will remain shut from October 15 to October 19 due to Dussehra festival and the weekend. The judge has said he is busy even on October 20 and will try to pronounce his order on that day. According to jail sources, Aryan Khan seemed disturbed, tense and uncomfortable in jail. All the accused in the Mumbai drugs case have been kept in a barrack separate from the other inmates for security reasons. As per Covid protocol, the accused were earlier kept in the jail’s ‘quarantine cell’ until Wednesday. The accused were then shifted to the normal barracks after they all tested negative for Covid-19.
