Er Abha Gupta/ Pooja Thakur Ramban, Oct 14 Jammu Kashmir Police is a force of brave soldiers who have sacrificed their life for the sake of nation. One such braveheart was DSP Kuldeep Sharma, who made a supreme sacrifice in the year 2000 in a IED blast at Kothi Bagh Srinagar. Youngbites Team got an opportunity to meet his wife Kirti Sharma who is now serving in JKP. While recalling the old days Kirti said that in the year 2000 Kuldeep Sharma was posted in Srinagar Kothi Bagh. He was in a meeting on August 10 when an IED blast took place outside his office in which he was martyred. At the time of martyrdom her kids were very young. Son was two and half years old and daughter was just one month old. Those were very difficult days but Kirti says that J&K police helped her and motivated her to stand on her own. With the motivation of the seniors and friends of Kuldeep Sharma she got a job under SRO in Jammu Kashmir Police. Even after having two kids, she underwent hard training and finally got through the training with flying colours. She says that the society forgets the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs is very soon but people should always respect the martyr and his family. We salute Kirti Sharma for acting as a role model for all those ladies who have lost their husbands but are standing rock strong for their family and kids. Kirti Sharma is a perfect example of real woman empowerment. Kirti was a simple housewife before the death of her husband but after After his death she knew that she holds the responsibility of her kids. In spite of so many pressures from all sides she decided to join the belt force and with all efforts she successfully underwent the training part and now she is a successful police officer in Jammu.
