Yudhvir launches door-to-door drive to download Namo App in Jammu East

YB News Jammu, Sep 26 Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President BJP J&K on Sunday held a door-to-door campaign to download Namo App on people’s smart phones under Sewa Hi Samarpan Abhiyan here at Jammu East Constituency. During the drive, the senior BJP leader, while interacting with the people, asked them to spread the word among others to have Namo App on their mobile phones to have firsthand knowledge about public welfare schemes and other information on the silicon devices. He said that the App is so designed that it will act as bridge between government and the people to timely inform the public for availing the benefits of Government sponsored schemes. This initiative was taken by Yudhvir Sethi under Sewa Hi Samarpan Abhiyan which will culminate on October 7, 2021. Yudhvir along with his team of party activists encouraged and downloaded the NAMO App residents smartphones and in some cases gave demonstration to people to use the App. Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP is on a mission to expand the reach of the NAMO app to thousands of people by the end of the Sewa Hi Samarpan Abhiyan. Around 100 households were covered under this drive where assistance was given to people to download the App so that they can always stay up-to-date about various Government Schemes and other benefits. The senior BJP leader said that this App was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 17, 2015 for making people abreast with the latest schemes of the government and the achievements of government representatives. “From expressing one's honest views and opinions directly to the PM, listening to all on-air PM addresses and 'Mann Ki Baat' to keeping track of PM's dayto- day activities, the NAMO app makes the one-stop destination for all the common people of India”, he said. Sethi said that this is part of PM Modi’s good governance as all the necessary information for the people is available on this App. People welcomed the initiative taken up by Yudhvir Sethi and readily downloaded the Namo App. He said that this initiative by PM Modi is an innovative implementation of IT based good governance model and people should come forward and take benefit out of it. Among others who accompanied Yudhvir Sethi included Anju Dogra, Rajesh Dogra, Praveen Kerni, Sahil Mehra, Swarn Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Anil Kumar Mahajan, Raghubir Singh, Mushtak and Sunny Kumar.
