Rohini court shootout: Case handed over to crime branch, says CP Rakesh Asthana

New Delhi, Sep 26 The Delhi Police Crime Branch has taken over the case of a shootout inside Rohini courtroom on Friday in which jailed gangster Jitender Maan alias Gogi was killed along with his two assailants. "The case has been transferred to the crime branch for a thorough investigation, to find out why such an incident happened," Delhi Commissioner of Police Rakesh Asthana said. The turf war between two rival gangs broke out inside a crowded Rohini courtroom on Friday afternoon when two assailants, who were dressed in lawyers' robes, shot at Gogi, killing him on the spot. In the ensuing shootout, the two attackers were killed by Delhi Police's Special Cell. Around 35-40 rounds were fired during the incident.
