New Delhi, Sep 26 Avideo of former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh singing the Bollywood song, 'O gorey gorey' is going viral on social media. The video was shared by his media advisor Raveen Thukral on Twitter. Days after stepping down as the chief minister, Captain Amarinder Singh held a get-together for 47 of his batchmates from the National Defence Academy (NDA) at his Mohinder Bagh farmhouse in Mohali. The Congress leader reportedly designed special jackets for all his batchmates with their names engraved on them. The video came as a surprise to those familiar with recent developments in Punjab politics. Over the past week, Captain Amarinder Singh has publicly opposed the Congress high command's decision to replace him as chief minister ahead of the Assembly polls. Captain Amarinder Singh had resigned as the chief minister of Punjab last week. This led to the Congress party appointing MLA Charanjit Singh Channi as his successor with Sukhjinder Randhawa and OP Soni as deputy chief ministers. Following his exit, Captain Amarinder Singh has been vocal about his opposition to Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu as the party's chief ministerial face in the 2022 Assembly elections.
