ER ABHA GUPTA/ POOJA THAKUR Jammu, Sep 24 Q: How to aware people on heart diseases? A: If we compare the old days with the present one we can see a lot of difference. Earlier the people used to do a lot of physical activities, they were not dependent upon technology, they were having an active lifestyle. But today the lifestyle has become sedentary, we are more or less dependent upon technology for each and everything. Less physical work is the major cause of the current generation facing heart diseases. Sedentary lifestyle, stress level and sleeplessness are the major risk factors. Other than this drugs, smoking add to the risk of getting heart attacks. Most of the times we see elderly people on the roads taking walk as a preventive measure because they already suffer from lot many diseases. Only 20 to 25% of young generation can be seen walking on the streets for making their body fit. It means that we start taking care at later stages after getting some disease. In that case regular heart check ups are must at an age early age of 25. Q: How to differentiate between gastric problem man heart problems?
